I am starting a recipe book for myself since I am cooking so much more than I have in the past and would love any recipes that you would like to share with me. We are currently on a soup kick so I am trying all kinds of new soup recipes but am looking for all kinds of recipes especially recipes that make good leftovers and are pretty cheap to make. I have enough time in the day to make a nice dinner for Sean and I. I also have been baking a lot more too. It is nice having the time to make a nice hot meal.
I have started making a menu of sorts for shopping purposes. I try to plan out all of the meals I intend to make in a two week period (want to get it to a month) so I don’t have to make extra trips to the grocery store. I find this saves us money and time. We don’t eat out as much if I have a plan either. We may not eat exactly by the menu but it is easier to prepare meals when you already have everything in the house.
Anyway enough rambling…please if you have any recipes feel free to share them with me! Oh yeah and any advice for cooking Thanksgiving Dinner would be great too.
Your mom made the best potato soup. Do you have it? Whenever it snows I think of the time we had such a blizzard. It was over a weekend and I had to work so I stayed at your house so I would be able to get to work. After I shoveled myself into your driveway that first night of the storm your mom had a hot bowl of soup and hot chocolate waiting for me. I will never forget that. She said, “I will just take care of my baby sister tonight.” I think I shoveled your driveway at least 4 times during the night so I would be able to get to work the next morning. Good memories.
I think you have most of my recipes–just call or e-mail if there is one you can think of that you might need.
